Absence from School

All absences from school must be notified. This can be done by telephoning the Attendance Office on 01295 225225.  Absence should be reported on each day of a student’s absence.

All students must remain on school site during the school day, unless permission has been granted to leave, in the form of a note from the student’s parent/carer.  Students must then sign out with their College Administrator. If a student feels unwell during the school day they should report to their College Administrator.

If a student is late in to school they must collect a late ticket from SSR, then go to their first lesson (depending on the time).

Equipment

All students are supplied with a student planner on the first day of the new academic year. These contain a wealth of useful information for both students and parents and should be used to note homework and extra study sessions.

There is also a section where parents/carers can make notes to Mentors, Teachers and Administrators (for absence from school).  We ask that parents sign student’s planners each week.

All students should come to school with the following equipment and are expected to have a school bag big enough to carry this and any exercise books in.
