What to do if...

There tends to be many "what if…" questions when students start at Banbury Academy. The answers to these can normally be found on the academy website or by asking mentors, teachers or Head of College. The following are some of the frequently asked questions:

If your child is unwell please contact the Attendance Team before 8:30 in the morning on 01295 225225.

My child has a dental/doctor's appointment, who should I inform?
Please write a note in your child's student planner which can be shown to the teacher concerned. Students should also show evidence of their appointment to the student support office administrator. When they leave for their appointment, they will need to sign out at reception. Students must not leave school without signing out first.

What do students do if they feel unwell?
They must inform their teacher who will send them to the student support office. Parents will be contacted before any child is allowed home.

What if a student arrives late to school?
They must go directly to their mentor group or lesson (depending on the time) where they will be marked as late. They will be spoken to by their mentor.

What time are the breaks?
Morning break  is from 11:10am - 11:30am
Lunch is from 1:30pm - 2:05pm

What time does school start and finish?
