Aspirations Days

Our Aspirations days are designed to challenge, inspire and introduce students to activities that may be new to them; in order to stimulate their creativity, team work, confidence and sense of accomplishment.

Students in year 7 to year 10 enjoyed three days of activities, including kick boxing, first aid workshops, fossil treasure hunts, origami, sports, arts and camping, whilst sixth form students re-designed and redecorated their common room with a striking colour scheme and graphics.

There was also a trip to the NEC Birmingham for year 8s, who visited Dinosaurs in the Wild; an immersive and interactive voyage of discovery to fire up imaginations as fascinating scientific insights were brought to life. During the exhilarating live-action adventure students experienced what life was like 67 million years ago.

28 students and 3 members of staff went even further afield travelling to the Bay of Naples, off to the Amalfi Coast, for a few days to take in the sights, history and taste of Italy! See our Adventure Blog for photos.

Our Aspirations primary schools also had lots of fun taking part in circus skills workshops hosted here.

The final day saw the Banbury Academy Aspirations Walk to Adderbury, a challenging hike over the fields, which was the culmination of our celebration of our values of engagement, purpose and belonging.
